SAFETY COMPLIANCE: Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
IIPP Compliance Mandate
OSHA compliance in California is substantially about SB198 which mandates that all employers have an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
The IIPP is primarily about employee safety training on all equipment used and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) training for all hazardous materials handled. All such training must be properly documented. In addition, the IIPP requires management meetings with employees to get feedback about the safety hazards employees experience on the job so corrective actions are taken.
An effective safety committee will make a safer workplace and lower workers' compensation insurance costs.
I am a hands-on bilingual, English-Spanish, safety trainer skilled in supervisory safety training and employee safety training. I can provide your supervisors with the full range of Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA compliance training to help your business achieve OSHA compliance with the SB198 mandated Injury and Illness Prevention Program IIPP. I can help your supervisors implement effective safety meetings, establish procedures to review recommendations and make corrections, and teach employees to properly document the program for OSHA compliance.
In the event you are cited by OSHA, I can be your OSHA hearing representation at OSHA administrative hearings.
